Project Description

Organized by RCK Kathmandu launched 20,000
Value added plantation on 9th August 2026 in Aaranya Resort, Banepa. The theme was “Planting Today for a Greener Tomorrow” This is one of the initiative of Rotary club of Kasthmandap (RCK) to plant 20,000 value added cash plantations in Nagidanda, Banepa, Kavre in collaboration with Aaranya Nature Resort. The project focusses on Environmental conservation while promoting agriculture and eco-tourism, with plantations including tea, caradamom, Avacado, Mango, Litchi and Japanese persimmon.

The plantation was inaugurated in the presence of Rotary District 3292 Governor Mr. Vishnu B. Karkee, District Secretary Mr. Gautam Shrestha, Mr. Sailesh Vaidya, President Rotary Club of Kasthmandap, Ms Nepal 2026 Deepmala Dhakal and Ms. Earth 2025 Ms Soni Ghale. There were also RCK Rotarians, Rotoracts and Interacts too who did the plantation. Facts and figures: The club’s 20,000 plantation commitment represents 20% of Rotarty District 3292’s target of Planting 100,000 trees this year which is truly commendable contribution to Greener and Environment friendly Nepal.



Budget: Approximately NPR 25 lakhs of plants / organic materials, tools – sponsored by RTN. PP GL Pradhan, transportation, logistics, food and beverages – NPR 70K by the club and NPR 70K by the PP Gyanendra Lal Pradhan

Beneficiary Profile: The project benefits the local community of Nagidanda, Banepa by promoting environmental conservation, sustainable agriculture, and eco-tourism. The plantation will also create long-term benefits for local farmers, visitors, and future generations through a greener and healthier environment.


Impact/Outcome: Strengthened environmental conservation, and promote sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, creating long-term benefits for the local community, generate employment in coming days.
